Position Summary The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations for our commercial baking facility. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, managing a team of skilled technicians, and ensuring strict compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in industrial automation, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and proven leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, schedule, and develop a 24/7 team of maintenance technicians and supervisors. Foster a culture focused on workplace safety and accountability.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Optimize and oversee the facility’s PM program within the CMMS to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment lifecycles.
- Equipment Reliability: Direct the troubleshooting and repair of high-speed production lines, including industrial mixers, proofers, tunnel ovens, slicers, and automated packaging systems.
- Compliance & Food Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities align with FDA, OSHA, SQF, and HACCP standards. Maintain high sanitation levels during and after mechanical repairs.
- Budget & Inventory Management: Oversee the maintenance department budget. Manage the parts inventory to ensure critical spares are available while controlling costs.
- Capital Projects: Collaborate with engineering and plant leadership on facility expansions, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives.
