Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections on mechanical parts, assemblies, and components using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs).
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to verify product conformity.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and final products to ensure compliance with customer, aerospace, and military standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain detailed records in accordance with internal procedures and industry regulations.
- Identify non-conformances and work closely with quality engineers and production teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure all products meet or exceed regulatory and contractual requirements, including those from the FAA, DoD, and other relevant agencies.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Maintain calibration and proper care of inspection equipment and tools.
- Participate in internal audits and assist with external customer or regulatory audits when required.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards across the facility.
