Responsibilities
Supports daily production quality, material flow, equipment upkeep, and workplace cleanliness. This role may be temporarily covered by a Process Engineer or Technical Manager when vacant. After 12 months in the position and successful demonstration of required tasks, candidates may be eligible for advancement to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean, debris-free floors
- Complete daily mold condition and cavitation sheets, and silo log
- Weigh, record, and sort scrap parts; dispose of properly
- Enter production and scrap data into daily reports
- Support Supervisor in completing reaction sheets
- Confirm resin and masterbatch materials are correct and labeled
- Move materials as needed for production
- Assist Maintenance and Tooling with mold PMs under supervision
- Support short-term projects alongside Engineering staff
- Keep personal toolbox clean and organized; maintain tools in good condition
- Report any issues with molds, tools, or machines
- Complete Injection Molding Fundamentals training with 80%+ score
- Apply learned molding skills on the production floor
- Understand proper purging, defect identification, mold types, runner/gate systems, and safety procedures
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
