Responsibilities
- The CMM Programmer is responsible for all CMM operations, including calibration and operation of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Performs FAI (First Article), IP (In Process), FI (Final) Inspections and record findings
- Reads and understands design drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and confirms that the dimensions of an object are manufactured to specification
- Analyzes process data for suggestions to drive improvements.
- Develops inspection fixtures.
- Develops and debugs assembly/test fixture then develop operational procedures and work instructions.
