Responsibilities
- Supervise 3rd shift operations across multiple departments, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
- Lead and manage a team of 30–40 production employees, including attendance, performance, and team placement.
- Coordinate daily startup and shift handoff activities, including reviewing passdowns, staffing, and priority adjustments.
- Monitor and track shift performance metrics, including output, scrap, downtime, efficiency, and labor utilization.
- Ensure compliance with all SOPs, work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and other departments to resolve equipment issues or production bottlenecks.
- Document and report production data using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or digital tracking tools.
- Conduct routine shift walkthroughs and floor presence checks, maintaining visibility and providing support to team leads.
- Provide training, coaching, and corrective feedback to team members as needed.
- Assist with shift staffing decisions, including break coverage, reassignments, and cross-training where appropriate.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean manufacturing, 5S, or process audits.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring adherence to PPE requirements and safety programs.
