Responsibilities
- Programming and setting up various CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes) according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
- Selecting and preparing the correct tooling, fixturing, and materials for each job.
- Monitoring machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations and making necessary adjustments.
- Inspecting finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet precise dimensional and surface finish requirements using various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the machining process.
- Maintaining accurate production records and documenting processes.
- Collaborating with engineers and quality control to optimize processes and improve product quality.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
