Responsibilities
- Tracks hourly productivity, number of employees per shift and quality, taking actions as necessary to meet KPIs such as cost of labor, overtime and yield.
- Takes ownership for the achievement of operational targets. Coaches team members and support groups to focus on KPIs.
- Review production schedule. Plan packaging material and employees needed to accomplish the production schedule.
- Direct and assign employees as needed. Maintain discipline. Track punctuality and attendance. Guarantee GMP.
- Facilitates root-cause problem solving with employees to overcome obstacles to achieving
- Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives. Manages their individual work cell.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of employees and provides feedback as required.
- Recommend corrective actions as required.
- Coaches the team(s) to achieve success. Cross training Mentors team members and facilitate team-driven performance.
- Takes responsibility for floor organization.
- Serves as designated leader / point-of-contact in the absence of Supervisor or Manager.
- Engages in troubleshooting quality issues, equipment issues, and any other operational challenges.
- Behaves ethically and responsively.
