Responsibilities

• Prepare bills of lading for each shipment and verify all items loaded for delivery
  
  
• Assemble, package, label, and protect shipment contents to ensure safe transport
  
  
• Record and document shipment details, including item identification and transport information
  
  
• Post shipments to customer orders, calculate remaining balances, and close out orders in the company system
  
  
• Forward shipping documentation to production planning and accounting departments upon completion
  
  
• Notify supervisors or the planning team of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
  
  
• Receive incoming goods by checking item counts, comparing supplier documentation, and reporting discrepancies
  
  
• Collect and report information related to in-transit damage for claims processing
  
  
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shipping and receiving area
  
  
• Monitor inventory levels of shipping and receiving supplies and anticipate material needs
  
  
• Conduct quality tests and inspections on products, services, or processes as required
  
  
• Maintain records of returned goods, reusable pallets, dunnage, and other related shipping materials
  
  
• Submit requisitions for necessary supplies and follow procurement processes
  
  
• Provide support to the Inventory Clerk as needed
