Responsibilities

• Establish and document robust, repeatable molding processes for new and existing tools.
  
  
• Optimize process parameters and lead first article runs and validations.
  
  
• Troubleshoot defects (e.g., flash, short shots, warpage, burns) using root cause analysis and DOE.
  
  
• Monitor cycle times, scrap rates, and Cpk/Ppk to drive continuous improvement.
  
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally with tooling, maintenance, and quality teams.
  
  
• Support automation integration for secondary operations (e.g., trimming, labeling).
  
  
• Train operators and technicians on best practices and setup procedures.
  
  
• Maintain accurate process documentation aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or related Engineering field or 10 plus years of relavant experience.  Tech or AA degree would be a bonus if you do not have a Bachelor's Degree.
  
  
• 7+ years of hands-on injection molding experience.
  
  
• Excellent understanding of scientific molding and thermoplastics.
  
  
• Experience with Arburg, Milacron, Nissei machines and Fanuc robots.
  
  
• Familiarity with hot runner systems, tooling maintenance, and lean tools.
  
  
• RJG or scientific molding certification preferred.
  
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CAD a plus.
