salary: $19 - $20 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 5 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation:
  
  
  • Clean, degrease, sand, and mask surfaces (metal, wood, plastic, etc.) to prepare them for painting, ensuring proper adhesion and a smooth finish.
    
    
  • Apply primers, sealers, and other base coats as required.
    
    
  • Inspect surfaces for defects (e.g., rust, dents, scratches) and perform minor repairs or notify appropriate personnel.
    
    
• Paint Application (Spray Gun):
  
  
  • Select and mix paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, and other coating materials to achieve desired colors, consistencies, and finishes according to specifications.
    
    
  • Load and adjust spray guns (HVLP, airless, conventional, electrostatic, etc.) for optimal pressure, flow, and spray pattern.
    
    
  • Apply multiple coats evenly and consistently to avoid runs, sags, and other imperfections.
    
    
  • Operate and maintain spray booths and ventilation systems.
    
    

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 30lbs

standing for 10 hours at one time
