Responsibilities
- Supervise and support FSQA Technicians to ensure effective implementation of food safety and quality procedures.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all applicable food regulations, including local, state, and federal requirements.
- Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, records, GMPs, and the Food Safety Plan.
- Ensure compliance with GFSI standards such as SQF or BRC.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, sanitation, and warehouse teams to maintain food safety and quality throughout production.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions in response to customer complaints or product nonconformities.
- Manage daily documentation, reporting, and internal inspections for all areas of the facility.
- Hold product as needed for food safety or quality concerns and oversee proper documentation and release procedures.
- Participate in sensory evaluations, audits, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Support employee development through training, skills tracking, and performance management.
- Act as a technical resource for audits and serve as backup to the FSQA Manager when necessary.
- Promote and participate in a strong food safety culture throughout the facility.
