Responsibilities
- Operating Forklifts and Material Handling Equipment: Operate various forklifts safely, including sit-down and stand-up models, to move, stack, load, and unload merchandise within the warehouse.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods efficiently and safely from trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Inventory Management: Locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise accurately, ensuring proper placement and organization in storage areas.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-operation checks on the forklift, perform routine maintenance (e.g., checking fluid levels), and report any malfunctions or damage immediately to supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety procedures and OSHA standards, ensuring a safe working environment and properly securing loads before transport.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete daily logs, reports, and other required documentation accurately related to material movements, inventory levels, and equipment inspections.
- Warehouse Organization: Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area within the warehouse.
