Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Automation Technician to join our operations in Grandview, MO. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize complex automation systems, including robotic equipment and vision-guided machinery. This is a hands-on position ideal for a technician with a passion for solving problems and maximizing equipment performance in a high-tech production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and replace automation systems throughout the production process
- Troubleshoot issues with servos, sensors, control components, and robotics
- Perform preventive maintenance and log all service activities and part replacements
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and operations manuals to perform repairs and upgrades
- Collaborate with production teams to address inconsistent machine performance
- Conduct performance testing and safety inspections as needed
- Operate mills, hand tools, and power tools when applicable
- Complete detailed machine logs and work orders
- Contribute to daily housekeeping and follow all safety procedures
- 2+ years of experience in automation systems
- 2+ years of experience programming 6-axis robots
- 2+ years of experience with vision systems
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting schematics
- Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills
- Experience operating a mill (preferred)
- Ability to work with and improve current automation systems, and contribute to new design/builds
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
- Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
- Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
- Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.
- Maintaining a preventative maintenance program.
- Operating hand tools, power tools and specialized equipment.
- Troubleshooting and resolving machine/equipment problems.
- Interpreting diagrams, blueprints, operations manuals, and specifications.
- Working with production staff to analyze inconsistent machine performance.
- Conducting performance testing on an as needed basis.
- Making sure that all equipment is operated in accordance with safety rules.
- Completing work orders and machine record logs.
- Assisting with daily housekeeping procedures and any other assigned duties.
