Responsibilities
- Reads blueprints/sketches to produce required part specifications.
- Works with other shop personnel in supporting the manufacturing of production parts.
- Analyze and solve fixture and tooling problems in manufacturing areas.
- Riveting and de-riveting, installation and removal of insulation.
- Operates and adjusts manual machining equipment (Lathe, Bridgeport mill, Drill press) according to guidelines and in a safe manner.
- Performs set ups and moderate maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoots equipment when required.
- Maintains proper coolant and oil levels of machines.
- Utilizes specified gauges to ensure part meets stated tolerances.
- Participates in continuous improvement projects on the shop floor including daily 5S.
- Assists in training new employees.
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing processes.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a u.s. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. 'green card holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
