Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support QC Inspectors, assigning tasks based on production schedules and prioritizing critical jobs.
- Inspection Oversight: Plan and oversee in-process and final product inspections, ensuring adherence to sampling plans and specifications.
- Quality Issue Management: Investigate production quality issues, coordinate root cause analysis with QA and production teams, and track recurring defects to recommend improvements.
- Training & Development: Train new QC and Production personnel on inspection standards and tools. Maintain training records and conduct competency evaluations.
- Documentation & Data Review: Review inspection records and non-conformance reports for accuracy. Ensure timely reporting of data and escalate critical findings to management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key quality liaison between the QC team and production supervisors. Participate in plant meetings to align on quality priorities and provide feedback.
- Quarantine Management: Physically manage the quarantine area, ensuring nonconforming materials are properly segregated, labeled, and logged.
- Equipment & Calibration: Ensure all QC measurement tools are properly maintained and calibrated, and manage equipment logs.
- Inspection completion rate.
- Product acceptance rate.
