Responsibilities
Production Supervisor
The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a manufacturing area. Key duties include:
- Safety & Compliance: Enforcing safety and sanitation regulations, including GMP and HACCP policies, and ensuring the team complies with all plant policies.
- Team Leadership: Conducting team meetings to review production needs and goals, and engaging staff in problem-solving using process improvement tools. You'll provide ongoing feedback to help the team meet departmental goals.
- Training: Ensuring all staff, including new hires, receive proper training on new or revised procedures and compliance policies.
- Operations: Working with maintenance, sanitation, and engineering to coordinate repairs and troubleshoot downtime issues to minimize equipment failures.
- Performance: Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics, including production data, and addressing any non-conformance issues.
- Personnel: Assisting in the hiring process by interviewing candidates and operating within the company's core values.
