You'll be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Installing, maintaining, and repairing production machines, plant equipment, and facilities. You'll use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals to repair mechanical, air, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- System Management: Working with and understanding various systems, including refrigeration (ammonia), boilers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to regulatory programs such as OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM), EPA's Risk Management Plan (RMP), and safety programs like Lockout Tagout (LOTO).
- Documentation: Interpreting instructions, following technical manuals, and completing detailed reports. You'll also use a Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to manage preventative maintenance and work orders.
- Welding: Repairing parts using brazing, soldering, and welding equipment. Proficiency in arc and heli-arc welding. Sanitary welding experience is a plus.
- Electrical Systems: Extensive experience with 3-phase wiring, electrical controls, and programmable controllers. You must have troubleshooting skills for both single and 3-phase systems.
- Refrigeration: Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems.
- PLC's: The ability to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). Experience with Allen Bradley Software (RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000) is essential.
- Pneumatics & Hydraulics: The ability to troubleshoot both pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities
- Welding – Must be able to arc and heli arc weld.
- Electrical – Must possess extensive experience with 3 phase wiring, electrical controls, programmable controllers, and must possess troubleshooting abilities.
- Refrigeration – Must be familiar with ammonia systems used for refrigeration.
- PLC’s – Must possess the ability to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s).
- Electrical – To include but not limited to 4-20 ma current process signals, 12 VDC, 24 VDC, 24 VAC, 120 VAC, 240 VAC, 480 VAC single and 3 phase systems.
- Refrigeration – Should include reciprocating ammonia compressors, screw ammonia compressors, condensers, liquid ammonia pumps, evaporators, water pumps, chillers and heat exchangers.
- Boilers – Should be familiar with the operation of steam fired boilers.
- Pneumatics & Hydraulics – Should possess the ability to troubleshoot both pneumatic and hydraulic systems to include piping, compressors, pumps, control valves and actuators.
