We're looking for a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Lead MoldTechnician. This role is perfect for someone who wants to learn every aspect of our production process, from operating machines to training others, with the potential to step into a leadership position. You'll be a key player in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Master the Process: You'll receive comprehensive training in all essential production functions, including packing, general floor duties, and Mold Technician responsibilities.
- Lead the Way: Assist supervisors with machine startups and be able to run machines independently. When needed, you'll step up and take over for the supervisor, ensuring the shift continues without interruption.
- Solve Problems: Use your mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues as they arise, communicating problems to supervisors and maintenance crews to minimize downtime.
- Maintain Quality: Perform all required Quality Control (QC) tests on bottles and be able to clean and polish molds and core rods to maintain production standards.
- Train Others: Help train new team members on packaging, box printing, and palletizing procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: A background in a plastic-related field or mechanical experience is preferred.
- Problem-Solver: The ability to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues as they occur.
- Tech-Savvy: Basic computer knowledge.
- Physically Capable: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds.
- Attention to Detail: Capable of quickly and efficiently removing preforms from core rods using a brass tool.
- Commitment: Must pass a ninety-day trial period and all required company training classes.

Job Summary: Train in all job functions relating to the packers, floor person, and Mold Technician responsibilities.
Essential Functions:
- To assist the Supervisor in startups and be able to run machines without any help.
- Be able to trouble shoot problems so they can inform supervisor or maintenance where problems are occurring.
- Be able to clean, polish molds and core rods.
- When the supervisor is gone, he/she should be able to take over their job duties without question.
- Have knowledge of all QC requirements on bottles and be able to perform all necessary tests on the bottles.
- Be able to help train others on how printing the boxes should be done, as well as bottle packaging, and on how many boxes should be put on each pallet.
- Experience preferred in plastic related field or a good mechanical background.
- Ability to troubleshoot and process issues that arise.
- Computer Knowledgeable
- Will have to go through all classes as required of Alphapointe employees and pass ninety-day trial period.
- Should also be able to lift, push or pull up to one hundred pounds.
- Be able to pull preforms off core rods using a brass tool in a timely manner.
