We're looking for a talented and dedicated Davenport Screw Machine Machinist to join our team in Seymour, CT.  As a Davenport Screw Machine Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Davenport multi-spindle screw machines. Your expertise will be crucial in producing high-quality, precision parts for a variety of industries. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and efficiency. salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Install and align cams, gears, collets, and other tooling according to job specifications and blueprints to control stock and tool movements.
• Set up and operate Davenport multi-spindle screw machines, monitoring operations and adjusting feeds and speeds to meet production standards. 
• Perform 1st piece inspections and ongoing quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and comparators to ensure parts conform to drawing dimensions and tolerances. 
• Perform routine machine maintenance and diagnose and resolve mechanical problems or tooling issues during production runs.
