Responsibilities
As a Production Associate and Machine Operator Helper, you will be an essential part of our manufacturing team here in Central Islip. You'll work directly alongside our skilled operators, learning how we create high-precision components for the optics and semiconductor industries. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain valuable skills every day.
- Assist lead machinists with setting up, loading, and unloading production machinery.
- Prepare and mix materials, including polishing compounds and slurries, needed for production runs.
- Keep the production floor moving by transporting raw materials and finished parts to their correct stations, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Perform initial visual inspections on components to check for defects and ensure top quality.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning equipment and organizing the production area.
- Actively learn the machine operation process with the goal of growing your skills within the company.
