Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, compare contents against purchase orders or records, and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Unload and load goods from trucks and containers using equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Prepare and package goods for shipping, ensuring they are packed in safe containers that adhere to all packaging protocols.
- Accurately pick and pull orders for shipment, often using an RF scanner to ensure accuracy.
- Generate shipping labels and review documentation to prevent errors.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and communicate any variances to relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area to ensure product integrity and adhere to safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Proven experience in a warehouse environment with a focus on shipping, receiving, or inventory control.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and dollies; forklift certification is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
