Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to be flexible between 1st and 2nd shift schedule- rotating shifts.
- Accurately measure and feed raw materials into a batch.
- Skillfully mix and compound ingredients based on established formulas and procedures.
- Monitor equipment and observe production throughout the batch process.
- Check batches for consistency and measure the viscosity of mixtures.
- Safely operate a forklift and pallet jacks to gather raw materials.
- Clean, sanitize, and inspect tools, pumps, tanks, pipelines, and other equipment.
- Deliver finished batches to filling lines using pipelines or tanks.
- Accurately document and record process information, including chemicals used, lot numbers, and cleaning procedures.
- Cooperate with and train other operators.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment.
- At least six months of manufacturing experience.
- Previous experience as a compounder or blending operator is preferred.
- A complete working knowledge of manufacturing procedures is a plus.
- The ability to read and understand documents like safety rules, operating instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- The ability to solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work overtime and different shifts to meet goals.
- Extensive standing and walking are required.
- The ability to perform heavy manual labor, including bending and lifting.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, if necessary.
