Responsibilities
- Accomplishes results by clearly communicating expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising results; coaching and ensuring employees are counseled related to safety violations in accordance with policies; developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Develops annual plant and safety goals.
- Monitors safety relative to budget expenses and adjusts as needed.
- Participates in new product/process reviews, including process hazard analyses and operator training, etc.
- Must document accidents and analyze trends in accident and workers’ compensation data regarding first aid and other safety related issues, including training and compliance and guide the Safety Committee in actions necessary to move the culture always forward in safety.
- Advises manufacturing plant and corporate staff of regulatory changes with which the plants must comply. Sufficient advance notice should be provided so that compliance on the effective date of new regulations is ensured.
