Responsibilities
- Shipping & Logistics:
- Print labels and prepare cartons for parts.
- Assemble customer orders for shipment, including counting, weighing, and checking against order details.
- Build, wrap, and strap pallets for shipment as needed.
- Determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method (e.g., ground, courier, LTL, FTL).
- Schedule and coordinate truck pickups and deliveries with carriers.
- Load outbound trucks safely using a pallet jack or forklift.
- Inventory & Data Management:
- Control and manage finished goods inventory.
- Use the company’s ERP system, along with vendor websites and applications, to record and prepare data related to shipments.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Assist the Receiving Team with unloading trucks when necessary.
- Communicate proactively with internal departments, including Production Management, Customer Service, Sales, and Accounts Receivable, as well as with external services to resolve shipping-related issues, delays, or questions.
