We are seeking an expereinced HVAC Testing Technician to play a crucial role in performing all aspects of job responsibilities in a safe, satisfactory, and timely manner to meet scheduled deadlines. A successful candidate will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a keen ability to learn. The primary role involves field commissioning of units and systems, conducting Factory Acceptance Tests(FAT), and traveling for startup, commissioning, warranty service, and repair.

salary: $52,000 - $68,500 per year

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute all phases of work, coordinating with other departments, to start and test HVAC units and systems, ensuring reliable operation.
• Conduct pre-startup work, including reviewing design engineering drawings, bill of materials, various checklists, and loading PLC or VFD programs.
• Check and document the integrity of all components and their installation before connecting power and energizing each unit; including motor rotational check, belt and alignment checks, refrigerant charge optimization, and control sequences of operation.
• Proactively identify and resolve errors, omissions, and deficiencies before Quality Control and/or field commissioning processes.
• Prepare records and reports describing procedures, actions taken, and recommended solutions.
