Responsibilities
(ASME) who can read welding drawings and is 1G certified on SS Pipe for stainless steel and carbon steel
- Welding: Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas welding) on various sizes and schedules of stainless steel and other alloy pipes and tubing. This includes root passes, hot passes, and cap passes on open butt joints.
- Fabrication & Fitting: Read and interpret piping isometric and schematic drawings to fit and align pipes, flanges, and other fittings.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercut to ensure they meet the companies high-quality standards and industry codes
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and operate welding equipment, including TIG welders, pipe cutting and beveling machines, and grinders.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
- Documentation: Assist in the documentation of welding procedures and test results as required.
