Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Category Strategies: You'll be responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies for multiple complex categories. This includes analyzing market trends, supplier data, and costs to optimize business operations and spending.
- Lead Supplier Relationships and Negotiations: A key part of the role is managing relationships with Tier I suppliers. This involves conducting negotiations, developing performance scorecards, resolving disputes, and ensuring suppliers meet their contractual obligations.
- Manage Contracts and Mitigate Risk: You will form and administer contracts with critical suppliers, ensuring they comply with all terms. You'll also be responsible for managing contract risk, resolving claims, and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place to protect the company's liability.
- Oversee Sourcing Events: You will plan and lead competitive sourcing events, which includes qualifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for targeted spending categories.
- Mentor and Coach Junior Staff: You're expected to mentor, coach, and oversee the development of Associate Category Managers, helping them grow in their roles.
