The Job
- Operate and set up various grinding machines, including Brown-Sharpe, Okamoto, and Supertec models.
- Work with diverse materials such as carbide, Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Read blueprints and use micrometers and calipers to work within tight tolerances.
- The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with optional Saturday shifts. A commitment to working 45+ hours per week is preferred.
The Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in the basics of grinding, including dressing, inspecting, and ring testing the wheel.
- Experience in the eyelet industry or the toolmaker trade is a plus.
- A reliable team player who values a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
- Operates cylindrical grinding machines to produce precision parts.
- Sets up the machine by selecting the correct tooling and adjusting grinding speeds.
- Uses measuring instruments like micrometers to inspect parts for accuracy.
- Dresses the grinding wheel to maintain its shape and performance.
- Performs routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication.
- Reads and interprets blueprints to understand part specifications.
- Documents production data and inspects parts for quality control.
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace.
