Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Manage and lead a team of shipping associates, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and adherence to company policies.
- Shipping & Logistics Management:
- Oversee the daily shipping process, ensuring all orders are accurately picked, packed, and loaded for delivery or pickup.
- Coordinate with the production and sales teams to align shipping schedules with production outputs and customer demands.
- Optimize loading and routing of shipments to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Inventory & Quality Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory of finished goods in the shipping area.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products are correctly labeled and in good condition before shipment.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure the team adheres to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Administrative Duties:
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies.
