Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake to bend stainless steel according to precise specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the correct bending sequence.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
- Account for time and work completed via written work sheets.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workplace.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge and understanding of fabrication and press brake operations including basic set up.
- Working knowledge of metal bending allowances, dimensional measuring and use of precision measurement tools.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
- Ability to work with various types of metals and forming characteristics.
- Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.
- Experience in air bending and coining bends is a plus.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of hydraulic press brake safety protocols.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
