Responsibilities
- Manage Air Freight Operations: Coordinate all aspects of air import and export shipments from booking to final delivery. This includes securing air cargo space, preparing air waybills, and ensuring all goods are handled in compliance with airline and TSA regulations.
- Customs and Compliance: Independently prepare and submit accurate customs documentation for both import and export shipments. This includes commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Automated Export System (AES) Filing: Accurately and a timely file Electronic Export Information (EEI) through the AES for all required air export shipments. Stay current on all AES filing requirements and regulations.
- Documentation Management: Maintain precise and organized records of all air freight transactions, including all relevant customs and transport documentation.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve any issues that may arise during transit, such as flight delays, customs holds, or discrepancies in documentation, ensuring minimal disruption to the supply chain.
- Liaison and Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (sales, operations, finance) and external partners (airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers, and customers) to provide real-time updates on shipment status.
- Air Freight Knowledge: In-depth understanding of air waybills (AWBs), IATA regulations, TSA security rules, and air cargo handling procedures.
