THE OPPORTUNITY Join our core operations team in St. Paul as a crucial Maintenance Mechanic. This role is perfect for a self-motivated technician who thrives working autonomously on complex systems, focusing on both high-level mechanical repair and essential facility support during off-peak hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- System Diagnostics & Repair: Autonomously diagnose and repair core mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including bearings, motors, pumps, fans, and pipelines.
- Plating Equipment Specialization: Conduct system installation, repairs, and modifications on specialized plating equipment, chemical baths, and ventilation systems.
- Preventive Maintenance & Uptime: Execute proactive Preventive Maintenance (PM) routines to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimal downtime.
- Chemical & Safety Compliance: Assist with adding, completing changeovers, and stabilizing the composition of chemical baths. Work closely with Operations to ensure all modified equipment is tested and working safely.
- Facility Support: Maintain plumbing and heating systems, perform general upkeep (e.g., carpentry, painting, fabrication), and immediately address any plant alarm codes.
- Reporting: Diligently report all activities, issues, and progress to management.

Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct preventive maintenance routines to ensure proper functioning and
availability of equipment, as requested
• Ability to work autonomously and responsibly with little supervision while following
all safety guidelines
• Repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems as requested (bearings,
electrical motors, pumps, fans, pipelines, etc.)
• Install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or ventilation systems and conduct repairs
or modifications, when necessary, in and around plating equipment and machines
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Conduct general upkeep procedures as assigned (carpentry, painting, fabrication,
machining, etc.)
• Work diligently along with Operations teams to ensure all equipment is tested and
working in a safe and proper manner
• Adding, making up, or completing changeover of chemical baths to stabilize the
composition required
• Address any alarm codes in the plant
• Report to management on activities and issues
• Other duties and responsibilities as requested and needed
