Responsibilities
As a supervisor, you will ensure the facility and equipment are in a safe and operational state to meet daily production goals.
Leadership & Supervision:
- Supervise maintenance personnel and direct and assign tasks.
- Ensure all personnel strictly adhere to FSQA Food Safety Procedures and all safety procedures.
- Facilitate open communication with subordinates and department heads to ensure equipment problems are addressed promptly.
- Participate in the development and scheduling of engineering department staff to support production and non-production hours.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in maintaining facility readiness and responding to breakdowns and call-ins.
- Perform necessary electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Ensure compliance with the Preventative Maintenance Program, including lubrication, inspections, and engineering sanitation schedules to minimize downtime.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis on equipment failures.
- Assist in purchasing and maintaining proper inventory levels of equipment spare parts.
- Help maintain the engineering department's shop and equipment.
- Support all regulated equipment and processes.
- Aid in keeping all outside agency compliance, mandates, inspections, and requirements, including OSHA, AQMD, HAZMAT, AIB, and various state and federal agencies.
- Contribute to consistent product quality by maintaining and updating facility engineering practices.
