Responsibilities
- Utilize TIG and MIG Pulse welding techniques to weld stainless steel components, specifically 304 and 316 metal products
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and tolerances to ensure accurate fabrication
- Perform welding operations in flat, vertical, or overhead positions as required
- Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials
- Set up and operate various hand and power tools, including angle grinders, TIG welders, and gas metal arc welding equipment
- Select appropriate filler rods based on base metal specifications
- Grind/cut edges of workpieces to ensure snug fits, using angle grinders and other hand tools
