Job Summary Goya Foods is hiring a 2nd Shift Sanitation Supervisor for its Secaucus, NJ food manufacturing facility.
This is a technical, hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a sanitation crew of 10-12 employees. The supervisor will ensure the facility adheres to all food safety standards and is "audit-ready" for GFSI (BRC/SQF) and regulatory inspections. This position requires a sanitation professional with an understanding of environmental testing, allergen controls, and compliance, not a janitorial manager.
The 2nd Shift Supervisor is also responsible for executing Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and securing/closing the facility at the end of the shift.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- 2-3+ years of experience in a sanitation leadership or supervisory role.
- Must have direct experience with GFSI (BRC or SQF) audits.
- (English/Spanish) is preferred for team management and training.
- Must have a stable work history (demonstrated tenure of 3+ years in recent roles).
- Extensive knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, environmental testing (ATP), and pest control.
- Experience with LOTO (Lock Out / Tag Out) procedures.

- Pay: $65,000 - $75,000 per year (Based on Experience)

- Lead, train, and manage the 2nd shift sanitation team (approx. 10-12 employees), fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Ensure the facility is "inspection-ready" at all times by upholding all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Serve as a key leader during third-party food safety audits (like BRC or SQF) and regulatory inspections.
- Verify cleaning effectiveness through pre-operational inspections and oversee the facility's environmental testing program.
- Maintain and manage the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) to ensure all tasks are completed and properly documented.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control department on sanitation validation and allergen control programs.
- Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and ensure all Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures are strictly followed.
- Manage the inventory and safe handling of all sanitation chemicals and supplies.
- Oversee the facility's pest control program in partnership with the Sanitation Manager.
- Act as the 2nd shift site leader, responsible for securing and closing the building at the end of the shift.
