Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes (primarily Mazaks with Mazatrol), applying conversational programming skills to machine high-precision components. Manual Lathe and Prototrak experience is a plus.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.) to ensure all parts meet specifications and maintain tight tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and collaborate with Quality and Engineering to define manufacturing requirements, including the need to create and implement additional fixturing.
- Proactively troubleshoot complex machining issues and implement effective solutions to maintain production flow and adapt to changing needs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime, while also providing guidance to train and mentor junior machinists on best practices.
