Leading National Building supply location in Tallahassee, Florida looking for a seasoned forklift operator for immediate hire! This is an opportunity for full-time position. *****THIS IS NOT A TEMP POSITION. This is an opportunity to become a member of their team!*****

• Drug screen and background check required
• Steel toe boots required

salary: $16.5 - $17 per hour

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stack, and organize materials throughout the warehouse
  
  
• Pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment according to load schedules and customer requirements
  
  
• Pull orders for truck shipments and prepare items for next-day delivery
  
  
• Load and unload freight from incoming and outgoing trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks
  
  
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance
  
  
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse space to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
  
  
• Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to fulfill orders and meet daily productivity goals
  
  
• Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and order accuracy
  
  
• Safely handle heavy materials and operate machinery in accordance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations
  
  

The essential functions of this role include:
