Job Summary This role involves operating forklifts and other industrial trucks to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise, contributing to efficient logistics and a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities Key duties include safely operating various types of forklifts for loading and unloading materials, processing warehouse stock with accurate documentation, transporting materials between areas, performing daily equipment checks and reporting issues, and strictly adhering to safety guidelines and company policies. The role also involves assisting with manual material handling and warehouse organization, and communicating with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling & Transportation: Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, and relocate materials, goods, and products within the warehouse, production area, or construction site.
• Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing trucks, trailers, or containers, ensuring all items are handled without damage.
• Inventory Management: Organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space and ensure accessibility. This often includes using RF scanning equipment or other systems to track inventory movement and perform cycle counts.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, as well as local and governmental regulations (e.g., OSHA standards). This is the most crucial responsibility.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily, routine inspections of the forklift (pre-shift checks) to ensure it is in good working condition, and report any mechanical issues or needed repairs to a supervisor immediately. 

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs
