We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our team dedicated to the inspection, repair, and refurbishment of large industrial gas and steam turbine components. This is a critical hands-on role requiring exceptional precision and proficiency on large-scale manual machining equipment. Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate various large manual machine tools, primarily including Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL), Vertical Boring Mills (VBM), and Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM), to machine heavy industrial components .
• Perform precision machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, and tapping on complex, large-format parts like turbine rotors, casings, diaphragms, blades, and large shafts.
• Determine and select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and machine speeds/feeds based on material type (e.g., specialized alloys, steel), component size, and machining specifications.
• Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators) to perform in-process checks and final inspections to ensure parts conform to tight dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 10 hours at one time

working up to 35 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends
