Responsibilities
- Arrange and coordinate both domestic and international shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
- Select appropriate transportation methods and carriers based on cost, efficiency, and delivery time requirements.
- Prepare, review, and process all required shipping documentation, such as Bills of Lading (BOLs), commercial invoices, packing lists, and export declarations.
- Track, trace, and monitor the movement of all shipments from origin to destination, providing timely status updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all logistical activities comply with national and international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and hazardous materials guidelines.
- Audit and approve freight invoices, resolving any discrepancies or billing errors with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, costs, and documentation in the logistics management system.
- Communicate proactively with vendors, suppliers, warehouses, and customers regarding scheduling, delays, or shipment issues.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate material transfers between various storage and production facilities as necessary.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain and transportation network.
