Job Description: Forklift Operator
Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to manage the movement of materials throughout our facility. You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to load, unload, and move goods to maximize productivity and ensure the safe handling of inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Unload incoming shipments and stack materials in designated storage areas.
- Order Picking: Locate and move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Inventory Control: Use handheld scanners to track stock and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety & Inspection: Perform daily equipment checks (brakes, fluids, tires) and report malfunctions. Strictly follow OSHA safety guidelines.
- Warehouse Support: Help maintain a clean, organized workspace and assist with manual loading/unloading as needed.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator license (OSHA-compliant).
- Experience: 1+ years of experience operating industrial forklifts (sit-down, reach, or stand-up).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active for the duration of a shift.
