Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Die Setter to join our manufacturing team in Miami. The primary purpose of this role is to set up, adjust, and maintain metal stamping or injection molding dies to ensure the continuous production of high-quality components. You will be the technical backbone of our production floor, responsible for transitioning machines between jobs efficiently while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate possesses solid mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized workspace in a tropical climate-controlled or semi-controlled manufacturing setting.
- Setup & Changeover: Install, align, and secure dies into presses according to job specifications.
- Machine Calibration: Adjust stroke, pressure, and feed settings for optimal production.
- Quality Control: Perform first-piece inspections using calipers and micrometers to ensure blueprint accuracy.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and fix mechanical issues or part defects during production runs.
- Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform basic preventative maintenance on dies and equipment.
- Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow all LOTO and OSHA safety protocols.
