Responsibilities

• Perform the incoming, set-up, in-process, and final inspection of machined parts per inspection plan requirements.
• Provide support to Change Management and MRB programs as needed.
• Perform FAI (First Article Inspection) on the initial production of new parts per the applicable customer.
• Assemble all necessary inspection documents to accompany shipments.
• Identify and segregate discrepant parts, then notify the Material Review Board of discrepant parts.
• Archive inspection records in the appropriate storage locations (both electronic and hard copy).
• Identify process improvements that may enhance quality, reduce cost, and increase productivity.
• Set up, operate, program, and complete CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections.
• Select appropriate handheld gages to perform inspections.  
• Maintain part and lot traceability information throughout the inspection process.
