Leading grocery warehouse is looking for a Sanitation/Porter to join their team. This position will be an 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. Drug screening and background check required. Position located in Cairo, Georgia and is a temp to hire position based on attendance and performance.  Key Skills & Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied weather conditions.
• Attention to Detail: For proper waste sorting and thorough cleaning.
• Reliability & Punctuality: Essential for daily collection routes.
• Knowledge of Protocols: Understanding of waste types, hazardous materials, and sanitation procedures.
• Teamwork: Working effectively with other staff.

Responsibilities

Common Responsibilities

• Waste Collection & Disposal: Manually or mechanically collecting garbage, recyclables, and hazardous waste from various locations.
• Cleaning & Maintenance: Sweeping streets, cleaning public restrooms, sanitizing equipment, scrubbing floors/walls, dusting ducts, and emptying bins.
• Equipment Operation: Operating vacuums or other cleaning machinery.
• Safety & Compliance: Following strict health, safety, and sanitation protocols (SOPs), handling hazardous materials safely, and reporting issues.
• Public Area Maintenance: Keeping warehouse, restrooms and common areas and public spaces free of litter and debris. 

The essential functions of this role include:
