injection molding technician.

We are looking to add an experienced Injection Molding Technician to our team. This candidate would be an experienced senior-level position responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality plastic components. This role requires extensive knowledge of molding processes, materials, and equipment.

salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and optimize injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
  
  
• Install, remove, and adjust molds and tooling; configure process parameters including temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
  
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve molding defects such as flash, short shots, burns, sink marks, and warpage.
  
  
• Analyze and correct machine, material, and process issues to improve efficiency, yield, and cycle time.
  
  
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on process improvements, validations, and waste reduction initiatives.
  
  
• Perform first-article inspections and ensure molded components meet specifications and customer requirements.
  
  
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on molding machines and related equipment.
  
  
• Document process settings, adjustments, inspections, and maintenance activities in accordance with ISO and internal procedures.
  
  
• Support new mold trials, equipment upgrades, and process validation activities.
  
  
• Mentor and train junior technicians and operators while promoting safety, OSHA compliance, and continuous improvement.
