Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately select, stage, and prepare products for customer orders using a cherry picker/order picker.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of powered industrial trucks at heights often exceeding 20–30 feet.
- Inventory Management: Use handheld RF scanners to track inventory movement, ensuring high levels of data accuracy and stock integrity.
- Loading & Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading trailers and moving materials throughout the warehouse as needed.
- Safety & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections (checking fluids, brakes, and controls) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to "7S" or similar warehouse cleanliness standards.
- Experience: Minimum of 6–12 months of experience operating a Cherry Picker or similar PIT (Reach Truck, Sit-down Forklift) in a warehouse environment.
- Certification: Valid OSHA-compliant Forklift/PIT certification is preferred (internal recertification may be required).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, and work comfortably at significant heights.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with RF scanners and basic Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Reliability: strong attendance record and the flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
