We are seeking a machine operator for a manufacturing company in New Britain, CT. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience operating lathes, mills, and grinding machines. Someone with experience operating Cold Heading machines would be ideal! Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Must be able to use precision measurment gages. 

salary: $48,000 - $62,000 per year

work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle all aspects of metal forming from print to production
• Operate Cold Heading machine, lathes, millers, and surface grinders
• Responsible for reviewing specification on blueprints to determine materials required and equipment necessary to fabricate tooling for use in the cold heading manufacturing
• Troubleshoot die problems to achieve maximum productivity
• Manufacture and repair tooling and dies, or perform rebuilding or existing production tooling to prints
• Use precision measuring devices to ensure quality and verify dimensions, alignments and clearances
• Ensure effective set-up and operation of all jobs by maintaining production and quality standards
• Perform other duties as necessary
