This isn't your average "move-and-forget" warehouse role. You will be handling liquid history—bottles ranging from artisanal daily drinkers to ultra-rare vintages worth thousands of dollars. We are looking for a meticulous, reliable professional who takes pride in accuracy and handles every case with a "white-glove" mindset. Must have experience working in a warehouse environment and operating a forklift.
salary: $25 - $27.5 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4:45 PM
education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately "pick and pack" orders by locating specific vintages and producers. This requires high visual acuity to distinguish between similar labels and ensure the correct bottle is pulled.
- Inventory Receiving: Unload incoming shipments and verify them against manifests. You will be responsible for checking bottle conditions (fill levels, labels, and cork integrity) and documenting any discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Use RF (radio frequency) scanners and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) like NetSuite or SAP to track movements. This includes performing regular cycle counts to maintain 100% inventory accuracy.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts (typically sit-down or stand-up reach trucks), electric pallet jacks, and manual hand trucks to move heavy pallets and individual cases.
- Shipping Preparation: Securely pack wine for transport, which often involves using specialized dunnage and temperature-controlled packaging to protect fragile glass and sensitive liquids.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a pristine, temperature-controlled environment. This includes organizing racks, cleaning workstations, and ensuring the cellar remains at the optimal storage temperature.
