Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $18.00 – $25.00/hr (DOE).
- Shift Differential: +$2.50/hr for nights.
- Hours: Night Shift (12-hour shifts). Start: 5 PM – 7 PM | End: 5 AM – 7 AM.
- Training: Must be available to train on the Day Shift before moving to nights.
- Operate shears, press brakes, punch presses, rollers, and grinders.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD layouts.
- Join components via welding, riveting, or fastening.
- Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and ensure shop safety.
- Experience: 3–5 years in sheet metal fabrication.
- Skills: Proficient with CNC/manual machinery and blueprint reading.
- Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.

Responsibilities
The Sheetmetal Fabricator is responsible for the layout, cutting, forming, assembling,
and finishing of sheet metal parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings
and specifications. This role involves operating fabrication equipment, reading
blueprints, and ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The
Sheetmetal Fabricator plays a critical role in supporting production schedules and
ensuring the timely delivery of precision components for W-Industries projects.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fabricate sheet metal parts and assemblies using various tools, equipment, and machinery (shears, brakes, punch presses, rollers, grinders, etc.).
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements and fabrication methods.
- Perform layout and measurement of sheet metal stock, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Weld, rivet, or otherwise join sheet metal components as required.
- Inspect fabricated parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fabrication equipment.
- Follow established safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and other fabricators to resolve production challenges.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
