Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented Carpenter / Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end construction of specialized industrial components used in our global shipping and logistics operations. The ideal candidate blends precision carpentry skills with a proactive approach to general facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Assembly: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manual sketches to produce custom industrial spooling and storage units to exact client specifications.
- Material Fabrication: Expertly measure, cut, and join wood materials using professional-grade adhesives and fasteners.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous dimensional checks and visual inspections on all finished units to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
- Facility Upkeep: Serve as the go-to person for general building repairs, including basic finishes (flooring, ceiling, and walls) and minor exterior maintenance as needed.
- Tool Stewardship: Operate and maintain a full suite of manual and power carpentry tools (saws, levels, pneumatic equipment). Responsible for routine tool sharpening and minor mechanical repairs.
- Logistics & Support: Monitor hardware and raw material inventory levels; coordinate with management for replenishment.
- Operational Reliability: Assist with the repair of production racking and loom support structures to ensure zero downtime.
